Reynold Collins

Reynold Collins was born and raised in Port Essington, B.C., and belongs to the Killerwhale Clan of the Tsimshian Nation. Reynold’s major influences are from his elder’s teachings about the traditions, culture and spirituality learned from gathering, hunting and fishing in historical village and camp sites.

Reynold had been tutored by several artists. He has participated in both first and second year student exhibitions. In 2008, Reynold also carved a Welcoming Pole for the City of Abbotsford, BC, along with Master Carver, Mr. Stan Greene.

“My dream is to be able to interpret our language into the artwork. My vision is to inspire legend, spirituality, and life lessons through the art. My wish is to share the art with the universe.”
