Davidson’s bold red Christmas card of 1974 (#43) became the basis of a new print the following year.
The card showed Raven, with broken beak, facing left in profile. By reworking the design and adding a mirror image to the left side, he created Raven facing front, with the beak running vertically down the centre. In the lower section, a pair of wings fold in towards each other, giving symmetry to the highly stylized design.
