False embroidery is the technique for the design of “spear barb” (variation of the “half the head of a salmon berry”). It is one of my favorite designs. I received a basket that my great aunt, Katherine George-Grant, had woven. She was a great weaver. The basket had this design on it. It was my favorite design before I recieved the basket but after it had even more meaning to me!
