Sedna’s Tears

by

This is the first Sedna sculpture I have carved. I wanted to show in this piece what I believe would be Sedna’s feelings towards the decline of wildlife in the north. Emerging from her hair is her open hand which is loosing grip of the animals that she has ruled over for so long. This deeply saddens Sedna, which is apparent by the labradorite tear that rolls down her face.
