“Lake Melville”

by

$ 4,000.00 CAD

This piece is about 15 years old. At the time I made three Ulu bowls - based on the places I have called home over the years. One of the three was for Gjoa Haven and Iqaluit and the other was for Stephenville and Halifax. This one ” Lake Melville”, for those who may not know, was where I was born and lived for 25 years. It’s a place that I haven’t spent time much over the last 30 years but, it still holds a spot in my heart.

The Ulu bowls are meant to represent ‘family’ and of all the places I have lived in over the years and from all of them, I have made many good friends.
