“man searching for caribou”

by

SOLD

I love working with the shaman theme!

Here we have a man who is out hunting caribou. Not having much luck, he decides to transform into a caribou to see if he can draw a crowd of other caribou.

An interesting thing about this piece was that when I started to polish - which is really the first time I see the stone in it’s natural colour - because it is always dry to this point. So when I wet it for the first time, I noticed the vein in the tail end - which to me represents his parka. I love it when things like that just happen…no planning!
