This little fellow is known for being happy. He is always joking around and having fun. However, this was a long, long, winter, with more snow than ever before - but now the weather is warming up and the snow is melting.
When he woke up this morning, he noticed that the snow had taken a beating, and a huge smile grew on his face.
He jumped up and flew out. When he landed on the ground, as his feet hit the snow he had thought it would be deeper… but he found that only his feet were covered.
The first words that came out were, “look there is only one foot of snow left!” With that, all the other early birds started to laugh, and one replied, “that’s not how you measure how deep snow is… by how deep your foot goes into the snow! ” And with that they all laughed… including the little fellow, who jumped and laughed with them - all happy that winter was finally at an end.—Michael Massie
