Many times I have sat and watched TV where there are hypnotists. They always ask for volunteers from the audience to come up on stage and allow themselves to be hypnotized. More often than not, when they are under the hypnotist’s spell, he gets them to act like a chicken or a rooster. It’s kind of ironic to see. And there was a time when I definitely would have been one of those volunteers!
With this piece I layered the eyes to give the impression of someone being hypnotized. I also tried to give the owl a puffy chest like a rooster when it goes through it’s morning routine of the - cock-a-doodle-do!
