  • Size: 3.5 × 1.5 inches

This piece is dedicated to a benevolent Taniwha by the name of Aromanga.

Aromanga was favoured because he would chase large shoals of fish up the river mouth to the waiting nets and therefore ensuring a good catch. The three eyes represent Mauri (talisman) stones, used by tohunga (shaman) to evoke favourable energy.
