Drumdancer (1999)

Iyaituk often mines his own stone for carvings, and is known for his highly detailed, carefully formed sculpture. He was about nine years old when he made his first carving, but he began carving seriously much later when he settled in Povungnituk. Iyaituk’s father, Markusie Iyaituk, was also a carver. He is younger brother to Mattiusie and Saija Iyaituk, who are also artists.
