“Tattoos were worn traditionally on Siberian Yup’ik woman’s face and was placed there using a bone needle with sinew, coated with a mixture of lamp black and seal oil. It was a very painful process.”

I was born in my grandfathers house in Gambell, Alaska. My teachers were my dad and my great uncle. As time passes, I spend more time on detail. My whole family has at some point depended on the native artwork for their livelihood.
