Red-Tailed Hawk

by

SOLD

“Raptors, from curious little owls to large powerful eagles, are probably my favourite subjects. Hawks and falcons with their streamlined shape and ferocious demeanour always appeal.”

The hawk was revered for its hunting skills and its extraordinary vision. The hawk appears with both bird and human features as the central face on many sun masks and on frontlets worn by chiefs. The hawk is regarded as a liaison between the human and sky worlds.
