Johnniebo Ashevak

“Born in 1923, Johnniebo has lived mainly in the Cape Dorset area with his wife, the well-known printmaker Kenojuak, and their four small children. Johnniebo is a big, gentle, shy man who loves to dance. He is a good hunter, engraver and carver. He is devoted to his wife and family, and although they now have a house in the settlement, they still spend the summer months on the land, where they feel most at home.”
