Kari Morgan


b. 1989

Was born and raised in Prince Rupert British Columbia. Her background is Nisga’a from the house of Kw’isk’ayn, European, and Metis ancestry. Morgan has been creating art using different mediums since her early childhood and has a background of various high school Art Classes including Desktop Publishing, Art Marketing, and Art History 151 in college.

She received the Proficiency Award for Visual Arts in her graduating year at PRSS and has displayed artwork in various shows at The Museum of Northern British Columbia and The Lester Center of the Arts both in Prince Rupert.

Currently enrolled in The Freda Diesing First Nations Fine Arts course at NWCC, Morgan is working on incorporating her knowledge of her traditional Fine Arts with the other mediums she is quite familiar with. She aims to bring her cultural background into her future pieces to display the strengths of her past, her families past, and the past of her ancestors.
