“As a female first-nation artist, I want to create artwork that is an expression of myself and my culture. That is how our ancestors told their stories. I want to continue their stories and start creating my own. Being in this modern society, there is so many distractions that are consuming our attention. I want my artwork to get people to stop, and be inspired. I have started to learn how to express myself and my culture through my pieces. I hope people can connect to them in their own way, may it heal them or even inspire them to connect to their own heritage.”
